the purpose of this website is to encourage others to try the reimer open shoe technique (rost) on their horses or clients horses, and provide feedback via contact or blog on their experiences. this information will be shared at upcoming professional meetings so that we may provide better hoof care for our horses. A properly applied rost horse shoe eliminates toe concussion, enables expansion of the heels, promotes increased sole depth and concavity, and ultimately enables the hoof to function as a shock absorber for the bones, tendons, and ligaments within, while protecting the hoof wall and sole.
